Development of Fully Synthetic Machining Fluid for Tapping with Good Biodegradability
In metal processing, pure oil-based agents or oil-containing water-based products are mostly used for metal tapping to provide good lubrication effects. Cutting oil is a pure oil-based substance with high manufacturing costs and poor biodegradability. Although oil-containing emulsions (or micro-emulsions) are also water-based lubricants, they contain more than 30% base oil, which causes serious pollution to water bodies and the environment, resulting in high water treatment costs. At the same time, most oil-containing products have complex compositions, making it difficult to control the reproduction of bacteria and fungi, as well as the decomposition and deterioration of working fluid components caused thereby. Their short service life also highlights the problem of high manufacturing costs in the processing. A fully water-based and fully synthetic cutting fluid has now been developed, which is convenient to produce, does not contain oil, and has a long service life due to the bacteriostatic properties of its own additives.

Preparation Process of Fully Synthetic Cutting Fluid for Tapping with Good Biodegradability:
1、Add water into the reaction kettle, then add triethanolamine and stir evenly.
2、Add PEG400 diphosphate by dropwise addition. Use normal-temperature cooling water in the jacket of the reaction kettle to control the reaction, temperature not exceeding 60℃.
3、Add sodium capryloyl glutamate, polyether L61, and maleic acid-acrylate copolymer sodium salt in sequence, stir evenly, and then it can be filled.
