Technical Parameters of Special Flocculants for Phosphoric Acid Filtration


The technical parameters of special flocculants dedicated to monoammonium phosphate and diammonium phosphate filtration are specified as follows:

I. Raw Material Composition

Acrylamide: 90–120 kg

Deionized Water: 45–60 kg

Urea: 0.5–3 kg

Thiourea: 1–4 kg.

2,2'-Azobis(2-amidinopropane) dihydrochloride (AAPH): 0.001–0.009 kg

Disodium Ethylenediaminetetraacetate (Disodium EDTA): 0.001–0.008 kg.

Ammonium Persulfate: 0.001–0.008 kg.

Sodium Bisulfite: 0.001–0.009 kg

II. Product Characteristics

High Molecular Weight

The product features an elevated molecular weight, which helps improve flocculation performance.

Excellent Solubility

The product dissolves easily in water for convenient field application.

Rapid Dissolution Rate

It can rapidly dissolve in water to form homogeneous flocculant solution.

High-Efficiency Flocculation Performance

The settling velocity of flocs is accelerated; the solid concentration of supernatant liquid is markedly reduced, lowering the loss of phosphate minerals carried away by overflow.

III. Preparation Process

Raw Material Preparation

Prepare all raw materials in accordance with the above mass ratios.

Raw Material Pretreatment

Load raw materials into a polymerization tank, introduce high-purity nitrogen, and turn on ultraviolet lamps to initiate polymerization reaction. After 0.5–2 hours of reaction, semi-transparent gel blocks are formed.

Additive Incorporation

Transfer the gel blocks into a kneader, add additives including sodium carbonate or sodium hydroxide and urea, then introduce steam to carry out hydrolysis and granulation.

Drying and Milling

Dry the granular materials at a temperature of approximately 90–100°C, followed by milling to obtain powdery finished product.

Packaging

Package the milled powdery material to obtain the finished special flocculant for phosphoric acid filtration.

IV. Application Effects

Improved Filtration Efficiency

During ammonium phosphate production, the adoption of this flocculant enhances the filtration efficiency of ore pulp and boosts overall production output.

Reduced Phosphorus Content in Residue Slag

Through flocculation, phosphate minerals contained in ore pulp aggregate into particles larger than the aperture of filter cloth, thereby lowering the phosphorus content of residue slag.

Optimized Product Quality

The application of this flocculant contributes to quality improvement of ammonium phosphate finished products.
